Like 48 Hours, yo

Wow... time is running short on singularity, if you know what I mean.

The stress building alone is enough to necessitate a honeymoon. And all today, I've felt kind of nervous/sick. It's almost exactly the feeling you get when you're about to step out from behind the curtain and onto the center stage... but all day long. I just know that tomorrow and the next day is going to drive me crazy. Maybe a morning wedding would be better so I can get it over with and I won't be all shakey for most of the day.

I stayed up until 5:30am today trying to finish up our kitchen cupboards (a project that we started about 3 months ago). I got a lot of the work done, but I ended up waking up in the middle of the doors on the floor. I feel surprisingly awake for only getting 4 hours of sleep, or so. But, there's still a bit left to do on the cupboards tonight. I just hope I can stay awake.

After this post, I probably won't make any entries or be seen much at all until 2 weeks from now. Maybe, if you're good, I'll put some pictures of our trip up somewhere. Right now, though, I gotta go get my hair cut and my eyebrows waxed.

Wish me luck, people.

You Want to Go Where Everybody Knows Your Name

Wedding time is getting a lot closer now.

8 Days or
1.14285714285714 Weeks or
0.2628336755647 Months or
0.0219028062971 Years...

until I get married. Stress gets increasingly higher now, obviously. I can hear the proverbial clicking of the chain pulling me to the top of the hill.

It's a good kind of anticipation. Delightful. Ten days from right now, I'll be on my honeymoon (most likely not updating my livejournal, though :). I'll bring back something for my LJ friends, don't worry.

Oh, and don't eat pizza at 1:00am right before you go to bed, or while you're watching Schindler's List. You'll either have awfully strange dreams, or you'll feel nauseated.

Hooray Angelfire!

Today, Angelfire blocked my images from coming through to a non-Angelfire page (like a LiveJournal). Just like that. I guess it has a limited amount of bandwidth you can take from a free site. So, I quickly switched them over to my Comcast page which hopefully has more tolerance for that stuff.

I found out Monday that my truck has a cracked piston and will need a new engine if I am to get it running again. Yeah, right on that.

So, I'm looking for a used truck/vehicle in the Grand Rapids area this month that will get me to work dependably. If I drove around in a 1991 ivory-colored Isuzu for this long, I can't be that picky, right?

'Coz It's Hi in de Middle and Wound on Bof' Ends

For whatever reason, I went through my digital camera's vast repository of images today. I found this sign for a restaurant that me and Em saw when driving between Ohio and Michigan.
"You've got to stop! ... Turn around, you passed it!"
It might have just been because it was so late that this struck us as hilarious, but we took several pictures anyway. This is the clearest shot.

Bonus! I've also included a shot of what happens when fruit gets fermented (and you have too much time at work). Just perfect for a May flowers wallpaper.
