Happy Birthyesterday!
Yesterday was my birthday. My first one after marriage. It was going pretty good, I guess. My wife forgot it was my birthday until I told her that my Mom and sister had called that morning to tell me "Happy Birthday." It doesn't bug me, though. She had already bought me my gift last week (she bought it indirectly through me, the headphones [but not the ones in that picture, the normal ones]), and I don't care about birthdays. She went out and bought me my favorite kind of cake, ice cream cake. Well, my favorite kind of ice cream cake is officially made at Carvel, but Michigan has like one of them in the whole state. I'll have to take her to a Carvel when we get back so I can show her what she's missing. Anyone else been to a Carvel, ever? Probably not...
Anyways, I received a few more calls with more wishes, some cards, a gift last week, and apparently a package came in today for me. I get to go open it when I get home in a few.
Of the three of us who work at the help desk here, two of us have our birthdays within two days of each other. So, we celebrated today with me bringing in Chinese food from Yen Ching, which was pretty good. I'll have to try a sit-down meal there sometime.
I guess I have a close proximity to Shadoe's birthday from
rcaster1138 fame.
You might be interested to know that I share a birthday with Richard Lewis of Boku fame; Christy "Pretty coed" Taylor from Kelly Kelly, Weird Science, and Saved by the Bell: The New Class; and David Pearson the famous boom operator from Moulin Rouge.
Jealous much?
